Major upgrade for Kangaroo Ground Primary School

    July 2, 2018

An elected Liberal Nationals Government will contribute $3.95 million towards the upgrade of Kangaroo Ground Primary School.

The funding will enable Kangaroo Ground Primary School to replace its existing main building, which currently houses the administrative area, principal’s office, old staff room, and three classrooms, with a larger space with brand new facilities.

A new car park will also be constructed on the school grounds, as the current car park at the front of the school is in an appalling state and riddled with potholes, making it difficult for cars and buses to navigate. This will benefit parents dropping off and picking up their children at school and kinder, as well as community groups such as the Kangaroo Ground Tennis Club, who also use it.

Only the Liberals Nationals will back Kangaroo Ground Primary School, so that children will be able to get the education they deserve, as well as developing their skills and talents.

Comments attributable to Leader of the Opposition, Matthew Guy:

“Kangaroo Ground needs a strong representative like Cindy McLeish who will fight for more local funding, better local roads and health and education services.”

Comments attributable to Member for Eildon, Cindy McLeish:

“Kangaroo Ground Primary School has an outstanding reputation for quality education.

By upgrading the facilities here, it will give young students in Kangaroo Ground further room to grow.”

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Education, Tim Smith:

“Kangaroo Ground Primary School has been overlooked by the Andrews Labor Government for this funding for far too long, and I’m pleased we can right this wrong.

The Liberal Nationals are committed to redeveloping Kangaroo Ground Primary School and give local students every chance they need to pursue a quality education.”
